A thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) is a high performance valve that blends hot water with cold water to ensure SAFE consistent shower, bath and basin outlet water temperatures, preventing any scalding.
At HinterCoast Plumbing & Gas our qualified technicians specialize in the supply, installation and commissioning of many makes & models of TMV’s.This is to provide the highest quality testing and maintenance programs to deliver a safe temperature of hot water to your household or workplace.
Every year, thousands of people suffer serious scalding or thermal shock injuries in their showers and bathtubs, from the tender skin of toddlers or the slow reaction time from the elderly and the handicapped. This is something that we at HinterCoast Plumbing & Gas take this very seriously which is why our qualified technicians only use genuine parts, from trusted suppliers, to ensure all servicing is carried out to the safest standard possible, as per AS4032.1

**** It takes less than 1 sec to receive 3rd degree burns when exposed to hot water temps above 60C.****

Under the legislation, thermostatic mixing valves require servicing and maintenance at intervals no greater than 12 months. On completion of this annual service our qualified technician will issue you with a report for each TMV that was tested, outlining what work was carried out, parts used and the overall valve performance. A HinterCoast Plumbing & Gas technician will be in touch with you one month before the anniversary of the service date for each TMV to guarantee the valve remains in compliance and up to date with the relevant code.
